WIN’s 2024 Inter Faith Week

This Inter Faith Week, WIN held two events. Firstly, we brought our Food & Friendship project to Waltham Forest. This project aims to bring communities together in local areas and we were pleased to co-organise with our friends at Waltham Forest WIN and with support from Waltham Forest Migrant Action. We came together, sharing food and conversation with new friends and familiar faces. We were delighted to be joined by the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Councillor Sharon Waldron. Our online Zoom event, exploring how we are keeping faith in community and coming together, three months on from the far-right riots here in the UK, also took place during Inter Faith Week. We were joined by speakers Hadiya Mesiah, Founder and Executive Director at Groundswell Project and Paulina Tomborrel, Head of Migrant and Refugee Organising at Citizens UK. We explored the complexity of bringing people together at the moment and what we can all be doing to ensure we support all those in our communities.
